imagesCAQ8A2IWAfter a sweep in the opening series of 2013, Owls Baseball traveled to the University of Georgia to take on the SEC opponent on their home turf. A superb pitching performance by Owls Stephan Janas set the tone for the rest of his season as he set the record for the lowest ERA by a pitcher in the Atlantic Sun Conference and had a 9-1 record. Broadcast of KSU Owls Volleyball

imagesCAG3N9QAOccasionally, I get to broadcast other sports at KSU and one of my favorites is volleyball. The Owls Volleyball team has some spirited personalities on it and they are fun to watch. Here is a game from last season KSU vs ETSU at the Kennesaw State Convocation Center. It was a televised broadcast, so there isn’t as much description as a radio broadcast would have.

My daughter Ava voiced this spot that was a fan favorite. I had more listeners comment about what a great job she did, including Athletic Director Vaughn Williams.

My oldest daughter, Sophie, did a great job on this very complex copy for the Junior Owls Club. This was another one that I was very proud of!

This time, I got to voice an ad for the Owl Store, which was promoting the great spirit gear available at KSUOWLS.COM

This was an Owl Store Holiday spot that I cut for the 2012 KSU All Access broadcasts.

Highlights from the U.S. Army High School Scoreboard

footballEarly on in my time at WGST, I met a fantastic radio broadcaster and mentor named Jeff Davis. Jeff was known around the southeast as the King of Georgia High School football. I was fortunate enough to work with Jeff on the WGNN U.S. Army High School Scoreboard for several years. The program was syndicated state-wide.

kim%20peterson One of the most amazing experiences in my life was working with Kim Peterson, Pete Davis, Jim Gossett, and Wayne Kitchens as a part of the Kimmer Show from 2000-2006.  Kimmer was a vivid personality that brought his infectious laughter to Atlantans on a daily basis. One of my jobs with Kimmer was as a producer. I was in charge of making promotion spots to broadcast throughout the day. Here are a few samples…
